Vacation, Part One

For those of that do not know, I’m on vacation.  My vacation spot this year is Gulf Shores, AL. Beautiful beaches and plenty of sunshine are abundant here.

We arrived about 1230 pm Saturday, July 7.  We weren’t able to check into our beach home that our buddies rented until 3pm.  We spent the afternoon cruising the beaches, enduring the traffic enjoying the sunshine.  Our last stop was Wal-Mart, which is where we stocked up on mixers and food for a few days.

Today July 8, 2007, Brian F cooked us French toast for breakfast.  About 2 we left the comfort of our home and went to eat at a seafood place called Desotos Kitchen.  A wonderful place for anyone who remembers.

Right now, I’m sitting on the balcony it’s 9pm and listening to the ocean, feeling the wind brush across my fingertips.as I type.

One of the more beautiful sites tonight is the ocean with more than 25 brightly lit oil refineries.

I went to college in Birmingham and can recall taking a road trip to Gulf Shores – never saw such blue water as was there! Hope you have a wonderful vacation!
