Four Years Today

Two things happened on this day.  One was the major snow storm we had that delivered 7 inches of snow to us.  The second, it’s my anniversary.  Todd and I have been together four years.

That much snow came in weather just like we had this last weekend, however, it just didn’t happen this year.  What takes me 10 minutes to get home to me much longer.

We started the day off just like any other day.  We delivered the students to school and went to cracker barrel for some breakfast.  No sooner than we sat down, the snow came.  We sat and ate and watched as the flower beds were getting covered in snow.

We realized it’s going to get bad fast! We started making phone calls to Central office (transporation) and telling them it was getting bad in Smyrna/La Vergne.   Their response to us was “It’s not doing anything here in the boro” My thought was, Ok I know I’m just a bus driver, but I know what the hell I’m talking about.”  It’s about 8:45 by this time.  by 9:15 am we call and tell transportation that we were going to get our kids regardless if they were dismissing or not.

Needless to say, we did not get our kids.  It was decided to dismiss about 10:15.  I got a few of my kids about 10 minutes after 10.  They lived just behind the school. That was the only group I was able to get home.

Many students and teachers were left behind that day.  Mom’s and Dad’s had to find them, and get them home.

On the second thought, it’s a good day.  Why? Because Todd and I have now been together for four years!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Happy Anniversary to you and Todd! That’s great!

I little bit of snow today sure would be nice. So far, just a few wimpy flurries.

Enjoy celebrating, it’s great weather for cuddling 🙂
